This is awesome. Teacher denies student's request to show the US-Slovakia hockey match Thursday and student calls him a communist. Kid gets detention.

Now, if I was teaching the class I would have shown it if a) he could point to Slovakia on a map and b) given me 60 seconds of everything he knew about Slovakia outside of hockey.

 

not showing a hockey game makes you a communist, huh?

 

Got a chuckle today from 670-The Score in Chicago. Update announcer reported Slovenia beat Australia 4-0. I know, it happens.

Anyone know how much Subban is playing? Is he hurt? One of the hosts on the aforementioned radio station said he was "out."

So Switzerland allows just one goal in its first three games. Now it's given two in a span of less than three minutes .... to Latvia.

Agreed, Babcock has to stop fucking with the lines and worrying about getting everybody enough ice time. If he finds a line or two that works, roll with them, let them play like they do in the NHL. Guys can check their fucking egos at the door for another few days.

 

For once I wish the Canadians would say fuck it, we are taking and playing our best guys and making the inferior teams deal with it.
