They would be playing tomorrow if the Czechs hadn't gotten five power plays.

In fairness to Mark, the Slovaks should have been a much better team than what they showed. Not sure why they tanked like that

Because they aren't very good and had no shot at winning a silver medal like Mark had predicted.

Well, if PK hadn't been a healthy scratch in two games, Canada would be up 4-0

I don't care if they win the gold, sitting Subban and taking Kunitz are dumb moves IMO. I think hockey Canada is the other countries greatest weapon at times.

I think the coaching was very poor. Totally mishandled the goalie situation and didn't get the most from their people.

That said, I did say at the outcome that short tournaments like these are damn hard to predict. One of the top four seeds will lose on Wednesday. Have no idea which one. Seems like the defending champs always go out in the quarterfinals for whatever reason, although I'm not sure Latvia can pull huge upsets back-to-back.

To me, Russia is the most intriguing team in the tournament. In pretty much the same situation Canada was in back in 2010, having to win four straight games to get the gold under huge pressure at home.

Finland leading Russia 3-1 late in the 2nd period, after a big penalty kill.

    Pressure is building on Russia.

Less than two minutes to go and the Finns are clearly the stronger team. Russians playing - and coaching - like they don't give a shit.

Over. 3-1 final for the Finns.

I didn't see the start of the game, did Russia really not start Bobrovsky in net?
