    Break out the vodka!

    Vodka + sad bear + sad Putin = happy bear + happy Putin, and maybe war, or some kind of internal repression.

    Wow, what a play by Latvia's No. 11 to save what should have been a goal by Canada.

    And did I hear the crowd chanting "Lat-vi-a"?

    A minute ago, the announcers said Canada had outshot Latvia 12-1 in the third period.

    Another great stat: Canada's team has a combined 16,000 games of NHL experience. Latvia's has 1,350.
