Has to be devastating for the US women, to work so hard for so long and be so darn close to the finish line only to see it all slip away at the worst possible time.

Official word was that the previous coach stepped down. Don't know if there was more to it than that. Don't even remember her name.

I don't think this team was the next one Kevin Dineen thought he'd coach.

Any particular call you would have changed? Or just a general comment?

It was actually pretty impressive how well Dineen kept his composure when the ref came over to explain the call to him. If it was Tim Peel explaining it he would have lost his fucking mind on him.

The "slash" that made it 3-on-3 was the worst call I can remember in any hockey game off the top of my head.

From the side view, it almost looked like Knight almost completely missed Wickenheiser. Hayley went down pretty easy.

If that empty net shot had been two inches to the right.....

As a general rule, I think most officials would prefer not to determine the outcome, but let the players determine it. So, yeah, something that may get called in the first period might well not get called in overtime. I think that's true in all sports.

Just thought it was odd that Dineen gets dumped by Florida and is the new Canadian coach in December.

Now that they've gotten the medals and had the anthem and photos, it would be nice to see some of the Canadian players hug and talk to the US players on the ice.
