Mark what do you do for the 15 minutes a day you're not on this thread making obvious, pedestrian observations?

Americans have decided they don't want to play the Finns for bronze so they asked this team to take their place

I wouldn't mind borrowing a few Canuckistani women with unshaven armpits for a few minutes.

Yes, because the one thing we absolutely need in an Olympic hockey final is four guys in striped shirts who can't keep up with the speed of the game. That'll go just swimmingly.

I knew the U.S. was cooked about midway through the second period when the only decent shots they could get were one-timers from about 40 feet away.

Whoever said Canada's defensemen are the tournament MVPs was right on the money. The defense they were playing today was the best I've ever seen.

You're implying that officials from outside the US and Canada are somehow incapable of doing the job, a premise with which I completely disagree. But, peace.

They're not capable to the same degree as NHL officials, who are the best in the world.

We saw yesterday how women's hockey officiating has not progressed at the same rate as the calibre of play. Why on earth would you want the world's best players overseen by officials who are not also the world's best?
