Why don't you stick to things you know something about? Like parole violations.

Looks like USA is coming home without a medal.

USA looked good coming out of the gate, and seems to have regrouped now -- though still down 2-0 -- so I don't think it was a question of "not being up" for the Bronze medal game.

Do folks here remember when they used to have games to decide 5th and 7th place? Those games had to be tough to get up for.

Two penalty shots in the same game. Wow. Been a while since I've seen that.

Yes. Remember those. Not sure which year was the last time they had those, if it was 92 or 94. They still have them in the women's tournament.

Yeah been a while, a whole two weeks. Pacioretty had two in the same game.

How hungover must these guys be? I can't imagine the US caring a lick about getting a bronze medal.

First time in Olympic history that a player has had two in the same game.

Hard to say if the larger ice surface is responsible for more low scoring games. The IIHF did a study on World Championship and Olympic games played on the different size rinks and found there was an average of one goal less per game in games on the larger rinks (not sure about the sampling size; not sure how many games were played on the smaller ice). I do think the larger surface reduces the amount of physical contact and I'm certainly OK with that. (Seems like a lot of injuries come from that.)

Interestingly, the shot totals in games in this tournament are about the same as in a typical NHL game, so there are enough scoring chances.
