    That was apparently a Tikhonov thing. He didn't believe in the strategy of pulling your goalie for an extra man. Probably because his teams never needed to.

    How on earth do you play an entire game with no score and then give up the winning (and only) goal with 8 seconds remaining in regulation? Switzerland 1, Latvia 0.

    Well when you're dominated for much of the game, you're playing with that kind of fire. Swiss received just rewards.
