I wonder if this ref realizes she's allowed to call fouls on the team in white as well as blue?

Yeah, noticed that on the NBCOlympics.com site too. But it's NBC. Everything has to be delayed. It's their DNA. And why they suck.

Since NBC is really pushing social media - you can link your Twitter and FB to the app so you can post while watching - I wasn't expecting a huge delay. Defeats the purpose of Twitter, right?

Just took them awhile to get going. U.S. blasts France 4-2. Two goals for Alex Morgan, one for Wambach.

Heard about the trend when I lived in Salt Lake in 2002.

Colombia-north Korea match delayed by an hour after Kim's Krew refused to take the field. Put the South Korean flag up next to player pictures during introductions.

    D'oh!

In other Hampden Park headlines, Celtic have been demoted to the Scottish Third Division.

...prompting Chris Jones to tweet "Don't worry, London. It's not like you killed a luger."

Stay classy, Chris. And he wonders why women don't perform well in bed for him.

The video goes out to tens of thousands of edge servers across the globe to alleviate traffic congestion on Internet backbones.

If you're watching it on a computer, phone, or tablet, why even complain about the short delay? It's like the wankers who used to complain about FOX Soccer delaying EPL matches by a few minutes as they start on the hour in England, but FOX Soccer likes to do a few minutes of lead-in time

Oh, please. It's a funny line, particularly from a Canadian.
