Love the star-spangled socks on the U.S. high jumper Erik Kynard.

If Wambach was indeed calling out the seconds each time the Canuckeeper held the ball, you'd think that would be warning enough for the Canuckeeper to watch what she was doing.

As I understood that anecdote, she was counting while standing near the referee, which would have put her 30-40 yards away from the goalie. No way the goalie would have heard that.

And so what if she was? The ref is an even bigger piece of shit if she let the Waaahack influence her in making that call.

I still come back to the fact that if McLeod had kicked the ball within a reasonable time frame, there isn't even a possibility to have it called. She made her own bed here and knew it was a risk. The ref, Wambach, whatever would have had no effect on this situation if she'd released the ball within a reasonable period of time.

No arguement there, still does not excuse the shitty call.

No medal for Lolo. Looks like she was fourth. Sally Pearson of Australia gets the gold. Other two US runners finished 2-3 I believe.

EDIT: Dawn Harper- Silver; Kellie Wells, Bronze.

Haha, the nbc web feed was horrible for the 100m hurdles. You got still photos every 5 seconds with the rest buffering.

NBC Sports Network showed footage of Carli Lloyd getting her head intentionally stomped on by a Canadian player today. As in, cleats directly into skull.

That should have been red no questions asked. Went unnoticed by the referee.

Yet nobody is talking about that.

I'm pretty sure USA would have tied the score anyway. They score late in games. It's what they do.

That's not the only thing that's ridiculous about using kinesio tape.
