I hate that stupid little trumpet thing they play during the beach volleyball. It's like the Vikings horn at the Metrodome, but at least I know why they play the Viking horn. The trumpet thing just seems like a random drop in every 10 points or so.

If it was a soccer match there (or even field hockey based on today's Team GB game), I'd guess it was a drunken Englishman actually playing a horn.

That's a nice Olympic-sized cold sore you have, Misty.

The town I grew up in had the Olympic handball team train there when I was in junior high. I spent 2 weeks on campus and learned from some of the guys that were on the '88 team that went 0-5.
    Best. Summer. Ever.
Of course, being a 7th grader, I forgot about the sport until I saw it like 8 years later in the Olympics and by then I was busy drinking beer and chasing tail.
Still love watching it...wish I would have been in a bigger place that actually fields a rec league.

I will give Batum points for honesty. His explanation for the dick punch:

France dominates the bronze medal women's soccer match -- but Canada puts it in in extra time to likely win a medal.

Canada scores in injury time and will win 1-0 in the Bronze Medal soccer game.

First medal in a team sport for Canada in the Summer Olympics since 1936 according to the announcers.

CONCACAF will take home half the medals in soccer, as Canada edges France 1-0 for the bronze on the women's side.

Europe, on the other hand, will get no soccer medals.

    That's pretty amazing, frankly.

    Surprised me too.
