Just another of the rules which have been rules since Jesus was a toddler and must never ever ever be changed.

Almost all sports, in their ancient antiquity, had very limited or no substitution. Over the centuries, most have changed.

Maggie Steffens is 19 and a frigging stud for the US Women's water polo team. They are going to win gold, up 8-2 vs. Spain late.

Was just talking with someone here about the need to save one of your subs in case there is an injury later in the game.

I can limiting roster size, but I can't see how unlimited substitutions would lessen the game. Hell, football teams substitute every freakin' down.

This "someone," is this the same person who wonders what the big deal is about Jerry Sandusky and whether gays and pedophiles are the same thing?

No way the US women go 5-for-5 in team sports, eh? (Soccer, water polo, basketball, indoor volleyball, beach volleyball). Does the US have a women's field hockey team competing here, too?

Limit it in the last 10 minutes b/c it can be a time waster.
