Olympics 2012, in Londontown

I cover a lot of it out here, it's easy to pick up on the rules and strategy. It's one of my favorite second-tier sports to cover. Emerick did water polo in Athens, but Bob Fitzgerald (GS Warriors TV), now on hoops, did them in Beijing. The type of cadence you hear in hockey lends itself well to water polo, and, yeah, I'd listen to Emerick do just about anything.

We're getting delayed coverage of the bronze medal match in women's water polo. HUGE brain fart at the end of regulation by the Aussies.

I could appreciate Bolt a lot more if he'd win the race and then celebrate, instead of his crap two strides before the tape.

 

He would have easily had the Olympic record if he hadn't eased up. Not sure about the WR.

 

Plus we don't have to listen the Brandi Chastain yell into the mic everytime she's trying to explain something.

 

I would have greatly appreciated a medal-stand fight between the USA and Canada. Solo/Tancredi, Wambach/Sinclair pairing off like a true hockey donnybrook.

However, the Bettman-quality booing of Sepp Blatter was a nice consolation prize.

 

Wait, is the taekwondo color guy the Croce who used to own the Sixers?
