Speaking of Norway, Alan Abrahamson tweeted the following earlier today:

Today's insipid Usain Bolt news conference question: you posed for photos with Swedish handball girls - what about Norwegian handball girls?

"Le Marseillaise" is a great anthem -- one of my favorite scenes in "Casablanca" is when the bar patrons drown out the Nazi soldiers with their singing. Germany's anthem is good, too, as you'd expect from Haydn, and Japan's "Kimigayo" is beautiful, if a bit minimalist. I'm also partial to "Flower of Scotland" for completely biased reasons.

I think my favorites might be the anthems that incorporate multiple languages. "God Defend New Zealand" (
) has Maori and English, while South Africa's "Nkosi Sikelel'i Afrika" (
) uses no less than five languages.

U.S. women's teams in soccer and basketball under fire for wearing allegedly unsportsmanlike T-shirts (soccer) and dancing and mugging at the medals ceremony (basketball)

Yet another reason the men's team should come out in a 40-minute buzzer-to-buzzer full-court full-throttle press tomorrow and beat Spain about 223-87.

See how they like that shit.

Starman, I like almost all the shit you post here but sorry, the Nike sponsored T-shirts have no place in the Olympics. This wasn't a team winning an SEC championship. The whole thing was poor sportsmanship and just confirmed for a lot of people the Ugly American label.

I tend to agree, but if this was a Hungarian fencer and not the team for which nike had such a vested interest, you can be sure the IOC would have come down much harder.

Sorry, poin, I fear this is more embarrassing see-through than sexy see-through. Lot of neon pink and green sports bras.

WTF is going on with NBC? Just turned it on and there's a Brokaw doc on fucking WW2. Are they trying to attract viewers who've never heard of it?

    Back to the Canadian broadcast.

Yep, instead let's party in the same manner as the Canadian women's hockey team in 2010:

I don't see any Nike sponsored t shirts.

That is some good photoshopping, I especially like the bong.
