I thought that was another song with Paul Carrack on lead vocal. Carrack was on seemingly every third song in that era.

You probably know the answer to this, but can you name the four acts with whom Paul sang a top 10 song?

Ace and Mike + The Mechanics are two of them (not Squeeze, they didn't crack the top 10 with him in the U.S.) Didn't he also have a solo hit?

My bad, it's only three. Thought Squeeze hit the top 10 w/him. And yes, he hit the top 10 with the fantastic "Don't Shed A Tear."

"Tempted" hit only No. 49 in the Billboard Top 100, but peaked at No. 8 on the Mainstream Rock list.

I love that song! Wrote a parody of it here called Electric Coup. Didn't get a single like. :)

    Wait.
I knew Oates co-wrote it, but didn’t know he sang backup.
    The more you know.

“Crazy” by Icehouse is an incredible song from that era, also. Superb buildup, intense ending.

That Paul Carrack solo song… “For Once In Our Lives”?

I remember both songs referenced here (they were OK), but when I see the word "Icehouse" my first thought is of beer.
