Question: What ethical considerations should prevent Wendi Nix from reporting on the Red Sox?

Elliotte: Wendy, who I know and think is a good reporter, is married to a person who works in the Sox front office.

She's married to Ben Cherington, the Red Sox' VP for player development.

    Seriously?

There's literally no point in having a Hall of Fame, then.

    A career line of .315/.412/.594/1.006?

Unfortunately there are just too many members of the BBWAA who will never vote for anyone suspected of and/or caught using steroids for guys like Manny to be inducted any time soon.

Is it cheating if everyone is doing it?

Is it cheating to screw your secretary because your wife is cheating?

And as far as we know --- after all he tested positive two different times now, SIX YEARS APART --- he has been "cheating" his entire major league career.

So like it or not, that cheapens his career OPS. Sorry. You can say the guy is a "freak of nature," when it's pretty damn apparent the guy wasn't ever natural to begin with.
