Don't be ridiculous. No way I'm winning a Tony.

EDIT: There's a Grammy for Album Notes. Don't think I haven't thought about it.

I was really glad to see Woody Harrelson get a nomination. The buzz has been about Sam Rockwell, and he did a fine job in the movie for sure, but Woody's presentation of his character was just sublime.

    What about Kobe Bryant's nomination?

I have not seen it, but there is a pretty big "Three Billboards" backlash building due to an alleged racist cop-gets-redeemed narrative line.

So glad to see "Ladybird" get accolades; a wonderful film throughout. Heard a podcast with the lead, Saoirse (sp) Ronan, speaking with her native Irish accent and let me see how impressive it was that (with help of a speech coach) she completely transformed into a Sacramento, California teenager.

    *spoiler*

That storyline is definitely prominent. I would suggest, though, that any protests would be tempered by the simple fact that the Rockwell character grew into a better person in the course of the movie.

This is a good and appropriate time to remind everyone that the "Jackass" crew was also once nominated for an Oscar.

If MLK can be a Grammy nominee, Kobe can be an Oscar nominee.

I am rooting for Greta Gerwig to win either Best Director or Best Original Screenplay ("Lady Bird") in hopes of seeing some badass bad white-girl dancing like this:
