Outing: Are you nervous people know who you are?

The only reason I have anonymity here is for professional reasons, even though my identity isn't hard to figure out if you really put your mind to it. And if someone does figure it out, it doesn't bother me a bit.

i was surprised the first time someone called me hoops, not so surprised anymore. and it happens quite a bit. i introduced myself to someone last week and they said, 'oh, hoops mccann'. people i've never met know me. odd.

eh, i'm pretty much me on here. it happens

 

The most surprised I've ever been in my life was the two times I've been asked for an autograph. Someone here giving enough of a crap about something I posted here to care who I was would easily top that, though.

 

Oh, shottie -- and my pal Frank -- I was just cracking on you two, sans blue font. I know you were talking about that asshole Kindred.

Sadly, perhaps, I've come to think of you as hoops. On my Firefox toolbar, I have your blog listed as hoops blog.

 

Hoops was deliberately outed by someone with an axe to grind on one of the triple password, secret hideout boards. Let's not forget that.

 

I can't think of anything Hoops has ever posted that he should be ashamed of . . . . . . .

I guess it's hilarious to me that people with an axe to grind say "Oh yeah?! OH YEAH??!?!?! I'm gonna OUT YOU!!!!!!!!! How do ya like them apples, ya jerk!!!!!

Those people get to cut in line when they're giving out lives. They need to pick them up the most.

 

But how can they find the time to have a life when they're always so busy deleting their own threads? :

 

At both outings, we called each other by handles more than real names most of the time. Yes, it was dorkish. He looked like Flying_Headbutt, so we called him Headbutt. But, you know, you call 'em like you see 'em ...

 

But they sure like to out people they're feuding with.

 

In a city like Dallas, I might get shivved if you all call me angola.
