    I wasn't anonymous on the old board for a short while. Lack of anonymity is overrated. I got blamed for a few things that another person or persons posted anonymously anyway because a couple idiots thought I was posting both under my own name and a pseudonym. Also, there's the whole ego-driven, look-at-me thing, like we're all supposed to be impressed that you're bulletproof enough to post under your own name. I like the egalitarianism here. Some people have asked me and I've told them, some I haven't, the governing factor almost always being when I think we actually know each other.

    A lot of people knew who I was before I dumped the Ledbetter and Farbecker handles and went with my real first name.

    My boss knows who I am here and I don't have anything bad to say about where I work, so I have no problem not being anonymous.
