  1. Interesting...I think there's a pretty good reason as to why he's not taking the gig. Before I guess, I'll wait until everything unfolds (should happen in the next month or so).

    Something (and no, not someone...just a guess) tells me he's too settled with his family to move. Plus, he's got a good thing in Tacoma - who can argue with being top dog at a shop?

    The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel is seeking an energetic, self-motivated sports writer to join its top-flight team of reporters covering the Green Bay Packers for both the newspaper and its award-winning Web site. This position will include daily beat reporting, game coverage, analysis, audio and video reports, interaction with fans through online chats, Q&As and blogging, and other print and interactive initiatives.

    The Green Bay Packers team is one of the most storied franchises in sports and has a devoted worldwide fan base. Tough, thorough, expert reporting is essential to satisfy Packers fans.

    The ideal candidate will have:

    * Experience covering a sports team, preferably an NFL team.

    * Strong news judgment, along with the ability to generate story and other content ideas on a daily basis, for both the newspaper and Web site.

    * The ability to write clearly, concisely and authoritatively.

    * An understanding of online opportunities and comfort with various online content management tools.

    * The proven ability to work under tight deadlines and to consistently break news despite stiff competition.

    * The ability to work collaboratively in a team reporting environment.

    * Online media experience - including some working knowledge of blogging tools.
