You said "holy war." I challenged you on that to prove that another religion was participating in a "holy war" in our modern age. You provided people who wanted to go to war with Iraq. Jesus fucking Christ. Stay on the same page, at least.

I have to agree with Gee on one point, Snark. There is no equivalency in his argument. He's much angrier at America's response to 9/11 than any of the subsequent terror attacks.

OKC and Timothy McVeigh. The Atlanta Olympics bombing. Numerous abortion clinic bombings.

There's more of course but those are the first to leap to mind.

Sunshine, you are wrong. I am angry that the Iraq War had nothing to do with 9/11.

Ignorance like this is a huge part of the problem.

Citing facts is ignorance? Once again, I say, what should be done? What do you want to see happen? A religion followed by over a billion people isn't gonna go away. What do you want to do with its small minority of murderous lunatics that won't create more murderous lunatics?

That small minority is scores greater than the minority of any other terror group. That small minority has been massacring people across the world for more than two decades. Ignoring that reality is dangerous. But a large segment of America continues to do it.

We're 14 years into our "pitiless war." Results remain mixed. Those are just statements of fact, no opinion implied. Terrorism cannot be eradicated, it's too easy. It can be minimized, but that's it.
