Wikipedia (shrug, it's convenient) lists 17 attempted or successful acts of terrorism in the United States since 2010.

By my count, 7 were in someway related to Islam, 7 were related to various right-wing/libertarian/anti-government causes, 2 were racially related (one targeting blacks and one claiming revenge for cops killing black men) and 1 was by North Korea.

    So ... it's a tie?

C'mon Rick. The Syrian Muslims aren't here yet!

I think there is some conflation going on here. "Islam" can mean a lot of things. Specifically, it can mean an abstract idea of a rough series of beliefs centered around a monotheistic Allah god and a major prophet named Muhammad. and it can mean an international cultural institution. Just like Christianity can both describe the loose idea of the Jehovah god having a son named Jesus Christ, and it can describe the sum total cultural and societal influence of 2 billion adherents worldwide.

ISIS has a lot to do with the abstract idea of Islam. It has little to nothing to do with the combined cultural presence of 1.5 billion adherents around the world.

So basically, what I'm saying is divide your fear of Muslims by your fear of libertarians. The result is your Racist Quotient.

North Korean terrorism in the US? I missed that one!

I'm as conservative as it gets, and fear of terrorism doesn't really register with me. If the Fenian bastards couldn't kill me in the 70s, I'm not too afraid of any furriner. If it's my time, it's my time.

A group believed to be associated with North Korea had an attempted hacking of infrastructure and it made the list.

Has anyone thought that living in fear and closing our borders to refugees is exactly what ISIS wants us to do?

That's happened a lot more than once since 2010.
