Who were the people who called for a Crusade after 9/11. Who was Thomas Friedman, who said we should just kick the shit out of any Arab country as a way of justifying the Iraq War. Fear and anger make people be the worst they can be, and there's no limit to how bad our species can be.

Has Thomas Friedman organized a terrorist attack that I missed in the last couple years?

I think I speak for Snark and any right-thinking person when I say, "OK, please point us to all the atrocities committed by these oh, so dangerous non-Muslim holy warriors in this country." #couldntstayaway

No, all he did was advocate for this country to start a war for no reason that caused hundreds of thousands of deaths. No biggie.

And he did this because of a religious affiliation?

Terrorists have to laugh knowing that people will reflexively defend them after each and every massacre.

Religion, politics, that's not important. Motive doesn't matter for mass murder. Sunshine, who the fuck is defending the perps? No one I can see.

The equivalency arguments in these fucking situations drive me absolutely insane.

Equivalency? I don't get it. Our country started a war for no good reason that killed many many people, including many of our armed forces. That was a crime. These murderers killed many people for no reason at all that makes a lick of sense. That's a crime. What do you propose should come next? We're STILL at war with people we assume (good assumption, but we're not quire sure) are sympathizers with the murderers of tonight. Don't just get pissed off. Tell me an answer.
