I still love him. Seeing him on here made me go look for West Wing on Netflix. Apparently not available on instant OR DVDs.

  2. I'm lucky. My son gave me the whole set for Christmas. I pull out one disc to watch an episode, and before I know it I've killed an entire evening watching 5-6 n a row. And whenever I watch, I always end up thinking, "Damn, that was some great TV."

Ron Swanson's TV ex-wife and real-life wife, is the lovely Megan Mullaly.

One of Mullaly's first movie parts was in "About Last Night" where she kissed Rob Lowe in the scene that led to the breakup of Lowe's character and Demi Moore's character...

If there is a better character than Swanson in the last decade or so, I couldn't tell you who it is...

    Jack on 30Rock
    Andy on P&R
    JOB on Arrested Development

It is a short list, though.

    Jack on 30 Rock, maybe...

The other two are great, but not as good as Swanson, IMO...

I'd put Gob up there with Swanson. As for Andy, while he's hilarious, I don't even think he's the second-best character on the show. I'd put Tom in that spot.

mulally and nick offerman were interviewed together on marc maron's podcast and they both came off as very cool.

and it seems she's about a decade older than he is. they talked about how offerman was 39 when ron swanson starting taking off, and she was 39 when will & grace became a big deal.

Yeah I heard that podcast and I've heard Offerman interviewed several times on Carolla's podcast. Both seem like very cool people...

I remember one of the interviews where Mullaly said she was a finalist for the Rebecca DeMornay role in Risky Business and wound up with a supporting role as one of the hookers...

Thank god Offerman is on the Cubs side. I'd hate to have to hate him.

That was a pretty decent premiere, but it sort of looks like Daniels and Ken Tremendous might be falling into some of the same traps they did with The Office. Great characters might be on the way to becoming caricatures, and while I'm not usually one to complain about women looking hot, some of these characters that started out as normal middle-Americans are getting dolled up to look like TV stars, ala Pam.

Which? Keep in mind that April was visiting her husband for the first time in a while.
