    I haven't watched these YouTube installments, but they can't be any worse than the media's stumbling attempts to cover the steroid issue in baseball.

    Nothing like ignoring the problem for a decade or two, then fucking up a bunch of articles about it.

    Just watched all five parts. I think I've seen enough in terms of JDV's opinion that McGwire could have gained the muscle mass without steroids. So let's just say I concede it's possible. At this point, the question that screams for an answer is that if it was all clean, why clam up in front of Congress? That makes no sense. McGwire had to know it would make him look guilty.

    Anyway, I feel as if I was entertained, if not informed.

    1) If you went to law school, as you suggested, you'll know that Lance Williams and Mark Fainaru-Wada have not broken the law. If they have, please tell me when the indictment was handed down and when they were convicted.

    2) The analogy makes no sense. Lance Williams and Mark Fainaru-Wada aren't up for induction into the baseball hall of fame. They are not on a large group of sports fans minds right now, as Mark McGwire is.

    3) Let's cut through the bullshit and the periphery arguments designed to obscure the issue of performance-enhancing drugs in sports, and discuss EXACTLY what Lance Williams and Mark Fainaru-Wada did. You're all about the truth, right? So let's discuss Game of Shadows. Lance Williams and Mark Fainaru-Wada did a comprehensive job of investigative reporting and pulled up reams of hard evidence and witness testimony that had Barry Bonds habitually using performance-enhancing drugs. And that use coincided with what everyone with a set of eyes had noticed even without the hard evidence: the cartoonish changes in his physique and his suddenly performing on the field--at a relatively advanced age--like Babe Ruth and Mickey Mantle combined ("coincidentally," at the same exact time that several other hitters, such as McGwire and Sosa, were suddenly shattering hundred year old records, too, and dozens of lesser pitchers and hitters were amazingly transforming their careers, as well.).

    If you want to have an intelligent discussion about Game of Shadows, Lance Williams and Mark Fainaru-Wada aren't the issue. If they are the issue, then I challenge you to discredit the evidence they unearthed and made public.

    Address the message, not the messengers, and maybe someone will actually give a fuck about what you have to say.
