No offense, but if you read what I wrote before concerning SG's knowledge of Mark (ZERO) or his age and access to any details about this subject you wouldn't even ask that question.

    It is preposterous

Why do you think he pulled his trash so quick????? hmm, I wonder.

Moreover, do you think I know a LOT more about SG and others that I have not said here? I think that is obvious, Don't start a war you can't win & that dude is playing with no ammo after he shot himself in the foot.

But look, like I said dude is a kid and I feel bad for him. Like I always tell EVERYONE (freinds, clients, etc.) just tell the truth bc it always comes out anyway. so much simpler that way.

JDV as a coach of a baseball team and as a person who strongly follows health issues, I really appreciated your approach and knowledge of what is really going on. It is a tricky world that we live in with lots of choices. I do find it hard to believe some one would turn down the opportunity to make millions of dollars even with the risk involved. I hope that Mark McGwire never used steroids but honestly if he did it wouldn't be like he was the only one and doesn't mean his stats are less valuable given that is seems that pitchers are doing it just as much maybe even more and most likely gain more from steroids. That said one player I have a problem with is Barry Bonds given that his reasons for using steroids seems to be because of self importance and an ego gone wild. Mark McGwire by all accounts seems like a very good human being who is sensitive and emotional. It is horrible that his congressional hearing went so poorly and it certainly does not help his case or support. Secondly, I think that the general sports media are people that do not have a clue what sports is really like and are very judging uncaring people. Judging some one is easier then actually finding out the facts.

IJAG - I saw that but I am busy with other posts and am not really in the mood to help out after I have been kinda trashed by you - you know?

Moreover, all this info is already out there - go read Canseco's Claims Keep on Ticking by Tim Brown (Feb 11 2005 I believe (or real close).

I am not a trained seal and don't hop when asked after being insulted by someone who takes SG as "credible" in talking about me & McGwire

My bro says your cool - so that goes a long way.

Let me chill for a while and we can go from there. If you want a real interview with me PM me and we can discuss that.

I am not trying to be a jerk - but you should see where I am coming from. As to my post before - I apologize if I came of hard on you but you were getting some facts wrong (Tony G vs McGwire) and seemed to be taking SG's garbage and running with it.

    Thanks,

    John

You do realize what site you're on, right?

Quick poll, how many sports media members on this site have played sports at some point?

I love Mark to death, but anybody who (allegedly) took does it both for ego and to 'survive' in the sport. If Bonds did take in response to what he thought was McGwire's taking, I can't say I blame him. Why be at a disadvantage? That's my take.

    Great post, Indian.

Again, I ask, why should anyone believe either of you? You both have made claims against each other. What proof do you have for us that either of you are credible? You're making claims that he's attempting to get back in to the MLB. He's making claims that you only worked with McGwire for 2-4 weeks. I have no reason to believe either of you for making claims against one another and accusing the other of lying.

That might be the first time anyone has EVER said that.

    Rok,

Should I post my PM to Ink answering his Q's or no?

I am kinda 50/50 on it, but I guess there is not real harm in it.

Spup, just as a counterexample, you think Lupica knows what goes on in locker rooms today because he may have played Pony League? C'mon? Now YOU might know, but plenty of sj's don't know. That's my opinion.

I'm proud to be the first, then. And I'll say the same to anyone else, as the posts merit.
