Fair enough, my bad. But I think your talking about his critique of sportswriters in general, of which you were not specifically called out. That is different than questioning, specifically, someone's personal credentials. As you know it is. But your point is fair.

Now this is a great post as well. This is where a lot of blame lies, for sure. Great job, GB. :)

    IJAG,

Look - its fine we can talk if your looking for a story just PM me & I can give you all the proof you need & a good story if you are looking to be fair.

You seem cool & my bro likes you.

However, if you just want me to "prove" myself - just wait till the website is up in like 2 weeks it will all be there (at least enough of it). Even for someone who talks as much as me repeating yourself can be burdensome (especially when I have video of my first National Championship up on You Tube).

    BW,

I gave a lot of scoops to you all (as I understand the term - insights that no one else knows or has talked about to this day to any extent) in the videos. There are lots there. If you did not watch them then I can't help you.

Moreover, I just put more info down on my reply to Inky.

As Indian said - I think it is pretty clear what I said & my level of expertise in a piece designed to be a primer only (as I said it was) - seriously

Just as I thought, a voice of experience. Your knowledge shows, Indian. Shows clearly to the trained eye. Great job.

    JDV/Rokski -

Okay. 17 pages in this thread. And what, 20 more in the other two? And then the YouTube videos.

And nowhere, in any of those hundreds of posts, or hour-plus of video, or anywhere at all in this stream-of-consciousness torrent of brotherly performance art has either of you offered anything but an opinion.

No facts. No information. No scoops.

    Just opinion.

We're long on unsupported opinion in here. As is America generally.

    Just so you know.

No, I never said you couldn't do anything right. All I said was what board protocol was regarding posting PM's. I think you're asking a lot for people to trust what you're saying. I'm curious to how many further interview inquiries you've received via these posts. I think you're coming off on the defensive which is causing people not to trust you.

I say this as a non-sequitur, but EVERYONE needs to watch this if you can. I saw it when part 3 was posted...go look at his other videos. It's JDV doing play-by-play while he's videotaping a TV playing a videotape of his championship.

    TREEEEEEmendous.

    (from IJAG post)(JDV quote)

"Let's be clear, special guest has NEVER met Mark, NEVER talked to Mark, was...hmm 5 or 6 years old when I started training Mark, to my knowledge has never talked to ANYONE who knows Mark, but IJAG wants to rely on that source - brilliant!!"

    My bad. My mistake.

And seeing how you recanted your question to me about the "2-4 weeks," the question giving credence to the s.g., you're clear in my book.

It's not "MLB wanting to put the clamps on" anybody. As you said, MLB would have kept its collective head in the sand if it could have.

YES, for the second time, Bud Selig and the owner's are culpable.

If it makes you feel good to point a finger at Bud Selig at the same time you call McGwire a cheater, fine. I'm all for pointing fingers at Bud Selig. But making an elaborate argument that it somehow excuses McGwire or Sosa or Bonds or Palmiero or anyone else who cut corners, IS smoke and mirrors. It's designed to deflect the focus from where it most belongs. Because the guys who actually cheated are way more responsible for their actions, than the people who looked the other way.

    JDV and RokSki,

Just so you know -- The poster with whom you most agree, indiansnetwork, is not now, and has never been, a sports journalist. He works at a water treatment plant, which he's told us several times. I find it interesting that he's the one with whom you most see eye to eye.
