There are probably as many scoops of raisins in that Wheaties box as the number of scoops contained in all 10 of those scintillating videos.

Photoshop allows you to resize images, you know. Unless the idea is for it to be a life-sized Wheaties box.

Thank you, Ragu. I have no idea how to use PhotoShop. ::)

Incidentally, those photos are about 200K a piece. I doubt they're going to mess with this site's bandwidth.

Incidentally, they're friggin brilliant. Maybe it's the Villarreal face. Maybe it's the fact that he takes himself seriously enough to post 10 worthless pieces of video on YouTube, wearing a t-shirt with his name on it. Damned if I know.

    Whatever.

Can I interject a serious question?

When did questioning the credentials of someone claiming to be an expert on a subject (even someone who IS an expert on said subject) become libelous, or "attacking"? I'm pretty sure healthy skepticism was something I learned in j-school.

Honestly, given the circumstances of these revelations (i.e. a message board and YouTube), shouldn't he be pleased we're asking for more evidence? We could just ignore him and then NO ONE would be hearing his message.

The refusal to cooperate confuses me.

Again, it will all be up on my website soon, I'm not going to get into it all here because I want you all to visit my site and give me page views because I'm really just trying to get my name out there so I can make more money, buy fast cars and pull hot chicks, whatever. [/JDV]

Nice try Big Pern. Look you seem cool (& I love Bill Murray) so why are you being such a jerk on this?

Look, here is the deal, your dead wrong on your "thesis" - period.

It is to "SAVE ME TIME" since I am busy and spent a LOT of time already on this.

Moreover, since I KNOW you don't believe me - please answer this question. How is another 100 or so page views of my website going to make me ANY money when the site will have no ads (at least to begin with and none are planned at this time)?

Moreover, if I "just wanted to "get my name out there"" I would have gone on ESPN (my ex is a producer for one of their biggest shows), or gone to Fox Sports, or Tim B or the AP, etc..

That is the one of the dumbest things I have read in a while.

It is a bio site which will save me from answering every single question every single day as I have already stated.

This is why the general public gets mad at you guys sometimes - your not even thinking, but don't let that stop the charges and character assassinations.

Honestly, I can't even be mad - its so ludicrous its almost funny.

How come he responds to someone who ridicules him with a novella, but I'm asking a serious question and get ignored.

Again, the lack of cooperation confuses me.

    *ring ring*

JDV: Hello ESPN, this is John D. Villarreal. I need you to break into your regular programming so I can give out some scoops, whatever.

    Operator: John who?

JDV: Why are you attacking my character? I'm all about integrity, whatever. Never mind. Just get John Skipper on the line for me. I have Tim B., the AP and my ex, the raiderette sitting on hold, and I'll gladly give them the scoops instead. Tell him that, whatever.

Operator: Sir, Mr. Skipper is busy.

JDV: That's cool. I have a sense of humor. I like to laugh at myself, whatever. But seriously, I know John Skipper. I used to train him. When I started training him his IQ was 90. Now it's 130. Everyone thinks he's running the show, but I'm the brains behind him. My IQ is 174, whatever.

Operator: Sir, I have no idea what you're talking about.

JDV: That's cool. Just check out the scoops on YouTube. And tell John that I'm willing to give him an exclusive, whatever. But I get to keep the money from the T-shirt sales.

    JDV,
The reason I say you're just trying to get your name out there is the numerous times you have said, "If you want an interview, PM me and we can set something up." As a sports editor, I get 100 emails a week (OK, exaggeration) from people who want to "set something up" and they all have one thing in common: They want to get their name, or the name of their client, "out there."

And having an ex at ESPN doesn't mean anything. First, as an ex, she could very say, "Fuck no, you dumped me for that Raiderette." Secondly, it sounds like you want to set something up with all of the afforementioned outlets (and any others) and haven't had any luck yet. That might not be the case, but it sure sounds that way.

Sorry, but anytime I'm in a conversation with someone and they won't tell me information I'm asking for, and instead direct me to their website it tells me two things: A) They need time to polish up the information and don't want it subjected to questions and answers, and/or B) they have ulterior motives for sending you to said website, such as driving site traffic, whatever.

Your statement that there won't be any ads "at least not yet," tells me you're thinking of selling ads on the site. To do that, you need page views FIRST. Then you can sell ads by saying, "Hey, look at all my page views." So there is a legitimate skepticism on my part about why you would continually mention your website.

(And just to clarify, I wasn't asking for more evidence of your credentials or anything like that -- others were, and I just kind of jumped in on the part about you being evasive.)
