Did I mention you as a journalist? Did I say you have no creditability? Seems to me you might have a problem because I never mentioned you.

To my knowledge, no player has ever been removed from the Baseball Hall of Fame and I can't see the powers that be ever wanting to go down that road. It's not that nobody ever thought of it. The idea probably crossed many minds before and was then dismissed.

And JVD, I see all your talk about being attacked, but to be honest, you started out in attack mode yourself. You showed a lack of knowledge and a disrespect for what we as sports journalists know and what we do. You insisted that the criticism of players like McGwire and Bonds came only from grudges within the media, rather than respect our opinions as legitimate.

Yours is not the only legitimate opinion on this matter. You can disagree with others with respect, but you chose from the very beginning not to do that.

You also fairly quickly turned to the "they never played" card, another sign of disrespect.

You want respect? Offer some in return.

To this point all you have done is talk about your own accomplishments, attack people on this board and journalists in general, spout a lot of opinion and meaningless bluster without much fact and continue to prove that you have no idea what the word scoop means in a journalistic sense.

Notice, I'm not attacking you or saying your claims about yourself are untrue. Even if you are everything you say you are, you still haven't delivered on any of your promises and that's what I question.

No, you didn't mention me, so let's change those questions I asked to generic ones:
Why do people on here have very little credibility? Do you know who they are? Do you know who they write for? Hell, maybe they are not even sports journalists - much like yourself.

Imagine ... former athletes turning to sports media as a profession ... has this been done before? It really is quite unheard of, isn't it?

This piece, and both of the posts of which this is part of, is gold. Anyone who wants to get the correct JDV side of the story, please read these two posts. JDV, good job. Angola, not a good job. Your willingness to believe and 'champion' SG's thread seriously impugns your credibility and betrays your desire to see JDV 'fail' in this and the other thread. Very non-objective of you, and frankly, disappointing. You've always seemed like a good guy.

Serious question: If this thread gets deleted, do I lose all of my posts from it?

Actually, Rok, taking only yours and JDV's side without getting SG's side would also be irresponsible. However, since we're just supposed to blindly accept what you guys say because YOU MEAN IT, I guess you wouldn't get that.

I've had conversations with SG since this whole thing started. Never once did he say a bad thing about JDV. Never once, even when I was asking him pointed questions, did he say an unkind thing. He said JDV is honest and a good person. He said he is a great trainer. So really, stop slamming the guy.

More comedy gold. The Wire reference is freaking perfect.
