Have these people posted their support in this thread or was it by PM? I am just curious because I haven't seen Whitlock on the board recently.

I'm sure JDV has answered this, but in case not, I will.

1 - I don't agree, to say the least, and/or you haven't been listening, BW (which is understandable given the length of the thread). JDV trained McGwire, yes, for a long time. He was also close friends with him during that time, also bodyguarded for him during that time, lived and worked with one of McG's brothers during that time, and participated in legal/PR strategy discussions with McG and McG's representation after that time. I would imagine you could understand the value of such a source: This isn't a guy who met McG at a gym 2 hours a day three days a week and they then went their separate ways. JDV was around McG as much as anyone for an extended period of time.

    2. - See A.#1, considering: steroid use/not use; McG's training regimen which could have achieved gains w/o steroids (+ background on training and physical limits w/ and w/o drugs), drug culture of MLB during this period of time (remember, JDV trained a number of MLB guys, not just McG), McG's congressional testimony strategy, etc. Tim Brown did background on JDV, and JDV told you what TB said to him.

    :)

Shouldn't we all be getting ready to watch the football game?

When do I get to sniff you? Last time you said you'd just worked out.

Seriously, though, for those who've made this thread what it is, and watched the videos, is there anything legit? He dropped Moddy's name for support, so I'm curious to know why.

    Rok,

No offense, but this is not a good question (and I am not getting personal with Angola just dealing with the merits) it is a HORRIBLE question which he answers himself by saying I can't prove it.

It is like one of the most basic logic traps ever - it is like saying prove to me your not a space alien "well let's see I know Rok since he was a baby, family, and parents, he is my brother, and has gotten many checkups from docs, etc, etc."

"yes, but you were not around him (24/7/365) and he could have been abducted by aliens and replaced with an alien and hid that from you."

This entire "case" with Mark right now is about CIRCUMSTANTIAL evidence and thus there is no absolute proof there either oh man.

Or to put it another way - most people think OJ is guilty, but hey you can't prove he ISN"T guilty. It is possible he didn't do it (and in fact a jury found that way in their verdict)

In short it is horrible logic and a horrible question, and past history aside, I am quite sure Angola can do better

This is crap, sorry Rosie. You have no idea the kinds of things I've been getting in PM's, what people have been saying. Did you know this thread was closed for a period of time b/c people were complaining to the mod like schoolchildren? You have no idea the extent of the garbage that has been going on around JDV with this thread.

People have persisted in tossing out terms like 'fraud' after JDV has provided corroborating evidence which people simply didn't feel like checking. People have taken up for the Special Guest in the videos and believed him to the detriment of JDV, merely b/c they wanted to.

I'm not saying JDV and his style doesn't bring some of this on himself, but to say he's been treated pretty well is a complete load of monkey dung. I'm sorry, but that's the truth. I've been a member of this board for a short period of time, but I've read this board for years, and the extent and lengths of some of the vitriol and attempts at censorship JDV have experience, unjustly, are as great as anything I have seen.

I spent the better part of my day and night yesterday cleaning up the mess made by the SG and others. When you've done that, and read some of what I was receiving in PM's, and had to plead to administrators to reopen this thread, come talk to me. Until then, stick with what you know. Thank you.

I need to make sure I understand.

In 29 pages and 10 youtube videos, what John wants us to know is that he believes McGwire didn't take steroids, and even if he did, a lot of people did, so he should still deserve a look for HOF, right?

That's great. Why are we still talking about this?
