    Did you catch this?

To the best of my knowledge I pioneered the use of mainstream athletes in ads (as opposed to bodybuilders, etc.)

He's a friggin' marketing genius, too. Is there anything this man cannot do?

If you could have scanned in this signed statement from McGwire (which I'm assuming is actually real -- I can't believe anyone would protest this much and not have it), why didn't you just do that instead of writing 905 (HOLY CRAP!) words about your credibility? It all could have been done in one small post.

Also, between your training of McGwire, Giambi and Eastern Bloc athletes, I'm starting to wonder about your claims of being clean, whatever. Talk about three subjects you don't want to hitch your wagon to when talking about all-natural weightlifting. Yikes.

The bottom line here, JDV, is that even if all your credentials, integrity, whatever, are 100 percent completely true (even your claims of influencing Jayson Stark and pioneering athletes in advertising), you STILL haven't given us a single "scoop," whatever, on McGwire.

You trained him, you don't think he juiced. That's ALL YOU'VE GOT.

Add into that mix that you say you trained Giambi and didn't know he was juicing and it pretty much renders your opinion as useless as your scoops that you plowed a Raiderette, drive a fast car, whatever. If you trained Giambi and didn't know he used, how then, can we take your opinion that McGwire didn't use seriously?

And really, did we need or care about the bolded part? This is why all your posts are so ridiculously damn long. Somebody get this boy a damned editor, whatever.

    You want scoops?
Get them from the horse's mouth.
    Don't ask this wiener.
Ask Big Mac anything. Or would you rather just watch me hit some dingers?

What makes me giggle is that anyone who had any real 'cred' likely would have given up on trying so hard to convince us.

You know it's time for more Shakespeare: "Methinks the lady doth protest too much."
