Flash, you actually made me laugh out loud.

Although, I'm quite surprised that you haven't taken this opportunity to hit on the Mac Attack.

But, does he squat WHEN he pisses his drug-free excellence?

    To whoever said this:

Of course it was athletes in supplement ads I pioneered & NOT ALL advertising. That was pretty obvious from what I was saying. To even infer that I was stating what you claim is so ridiculous, and you know that.

    _____________________________________________________________

Big Pern - I am clean & have worked my whole life to advance clean athletics in elite sports - so be REAL careful there.

I have put real blood sweat tears and YEARS into this issue & walk the talk - so please don't preach to someone who has been fighting these battles for decades and competing heads up against guys that have often an unfair advantage on me, & don't ever insinuate that I am not clean.

As others have mentioned, I likely would have had a REAL good shot at many world titles and world records & perhaps even an outside shot at the NFL (they wanted me to walk on at Cal (I played Rugby at Cal and worked out with the football team , as discussed, & they all knew how super strong & tough I was)) if I had gone the other way on this issue.

I would have been an absolute freak - like mega freak if I used drugs. I also likely would have avoided (or recovered much faster from) many serious painful injuries I have sustained and overcome throughout the years that kept me from competing in many contests that I probably would have won (World Championships in 1992 & 1993, etc.). I can't get those titles back.

It is possible that I could have been one of the best ever - I guess we will never know, but I am proud of my choices and can look my kids (when I get married) square in the eye , AS WELL AS MY CLIENTS, and have credibility when I say there is a better way and you can compete at the top clean & they KNOW I am telling the truth because I DID IT!

Do you even care about that!!?? Do you want that to be true & help spread that message or do you just want the scandal, the dirt, the trash all piled up to advance your own career?

I am a licensed member of the bar and take my professional ethics and license VERY seriously. I am an officer of the court. I don't do ANYTHING illegal. I never smoked pot, did coke, etc. - NEVER. How about you Big Pern?? How do I know your not under the influence right now writing this post - as it seems pretty out there.

Here is a hint - I don't do ANY drugs. Heck I barely drink (alcohol or caffeine). So, I will not tolerate anyone smearing me in this way.

EVERYONE who knows me knows this about me and has said I am clean. I have competed at drug tested events at an elite level. Moreover, I will take any drug test any time any where.

After over 20 years of competing in PL and winning 3 National Titles & taking 3rd in the World Championships I am really banged up at 36 & want to retire and do other stuff. Heck I wanted to stop last year. Yet, I get calls all the time to do one more or "go to worlds one more time." Why? because I am promotable.

Why am I promotable? Because everybody knows I am clean, look good (at least for the sport), an accomplished professional with a life, speak well, & am freindly to fans. Thus, I put a good face on the sport.

So, watch who you are firing at as I can fire back with major ammo.

I have never claimed to be perfect, far from it. Moreover, I am not trying to preach but you attacked me in a VERY low way. I am proud of my life, choices, & ethics.

I will defend myself strong as it took a lot of SACRAFICE & SUFFERING to have been able to do what I have done the right way.

Moreover, as to Giambi - please read more carefully there. I worked with Jason early in his career (like before he started using or using in any big way as I understnad the time line he gave) and was around him a small fraction of the time that I was around Mark.

Again, why do you think Jason wanted my help again after Balco when I ran into him - BECAUSE HE NEEDED TO PERFORM CLEAN & EVERYONE KNOWS I AM THE GUY TO SEE IF YOU WANT TO COMPETE CLEAN!!!!

Trying to pick out microscopic points of my posts for errors that are not there (when there are plenty of gramatical ones that always are) just makes you look petty and defeated. Talk about a "game of shadows".

Look, I am not going to get in the gutter with you. You want to make funny jokes about me - awesome, but watch the slimy cheap shots.

That part about you using was really tongue-in-cheek, pointing out that you use to these three subjects -- McGwire, Giambi and Eastern Bloc athletes -- two of whom are known users (the Eastern Bloc athletes are more of a generalization, of course), to establish your credibility. I thought that was kind of funny. I guess I should have put a :p in there. Sorry about that.

However, I would love to know what "major ammo" you planned to come back at me with. I guess I could have baited you into coming back at me, whatever, but I won't bother. You don't know anything about me, so I guess it would be pointless.

But just so you know, I've never smoked pot or done drugs (except for alcohol), whatever, either, so try not to hurt yourself falling off your high horse, whatever.

And I was far from pointing out microscopic points of your posts for errors that are not there, nor did you "defeat" me.

There is nothing microscopic about your name-dropping of Giambi or McGwire or how much time you spent with them. They are the basis of your entire existence on this site.

I think it's a legitimate question to ask how your opinion that Mark McGwire is clean can be considered credible when you said you trained Giambi and didn't know he was using. The heart of your argument is that you know McGwire trained with him and KNOW he didn't use, while admitting you couldn't possibly spend 24/7 with him. Yet, you also say you trained Giambi, knew him for a few years and didn't know he was using, all while he was Mark's protege. Doesn't it seem like at least plausible that Giambi took some of Mark's "tutelage" that you didn't know about?

The first part was me and somebody else. Again, you were unclear. And you were guessing rather than stating facts.

Now all you needed to do was cheat to play in the NFL because they asked you to walk on at Cal?

And JVD, it is amazing that you still don't understand that the fact that you worked with Giambi and didn't know he was cheating pokes holes in some of your previous arguments. Pretty dumb for a guy with a 174 IQ.
Imagine if you had started young. You could have hit more home runs than your buddy McGwire!
