Caught the first episode and really enjoyed it. Between Arthur Morgan in RDR2 and Jimmie Rodgers, I've gotten a crash course education in tuberculosis of late.

I'm three episodes in and loving it. I'd love to hear the kid on the banjo in the weird Wagon Wheel opening do the whole damn thing.

Just got a notice that the whole series is available on Kanopy for those who use it.

My dad is the spitting image of Porter Wagoner, so I can dig it.

    Hahah.

Not really that interesting; he was a country music executive who was drinking buddies with Porter and Dolly was signed to his publishing company.

Jason Isbell would like a word.

Anyway, finally finished the whole thing tonight, and I'm glad I did. Didn't quite realize the significance of bands holding current residencies at the revamped Ryman Auditorium. And as others have noted, the way they handled the George Jones and Johnny Cash deaths and funerals were pretty amazing. I got choked up at Vince Gill singing at George's.

Also, Walton Goggins has to be a shoo-in to play a younger Merle in any biopic, no?
