Now it's just getting creepy that I should know that show off the top of my head rather than another show. :D

I was lucky enough to have seen both of those Boston shows.....the 03 one was amazing, probably the best concert I ever attended. I really like the Atlanta show......great bootleg.

And for whatever reason.....PJ really likes Boston and seem to step it up when they're in town.

Cool story, in '03 Eddie and Stone went to a local bar in Sommerville on a weeknight.....some guys I know (more friends of friends) were there as well and ended up hanging with them for a while. After a few beers Eddie and Stone went to their apartment, drank a lot and played some tunes. Just a couple of guys looking to drink late night.

Suppose I'm a little late on this, but here's my Top 5. Five is all I get? Geez this is tough. And as somebody pointed out earlier, this list could change every day. I started listening to Yield again last night. I'd forgotten how much I enjoyed Yield. It had long since moved out of regular rotation (as had, sadly, most of my Pearl Jam), but I'm listening to it right now. I could give a Top 5 based solely on that album. Great stuff. This thread is another example of why I love coming back to this site. Anyway...

that is 100% accurate. when my friend was early in his pearl jam obsession phase, he burned a cd that was NOTHING but his favorite versions of even flow from the 00 tour, all 16 songs. it was disgusting, but i can say that because my own pearl jam obsession is was disgusting.

to be honest, i don't have the randall's island 2 show that has the present tense/off he goes ending. if anyone wanted to yousendit.com for me, that would be most appreciated.

ashy, both those boston shows are a perfect example of how the band has evolved over the years, and that's pretty sweet you got to experience it first hand.

zeke, yeah, he wrote the fucker, but ed likes to drink during the show. i can't blame him for fuckin it up every once in a while.

i forgot about everyday people. great song.

    top five non-album songs:

    state of love and trust
    out of my mind
    brother (with the lyrics)
    angel
    breath

    other pearl jam geek topics:

where would you go for your pj pilgrimage? would you go to seattle or would you go somewhere else? vegas would be great, and i'd love to see the band at msg sometime. boston would be a good choice for its track record, or perhaps you go to seattle because, hell, the band started there.

i know a lot of people don't like leatherman, but it's a sick song live and it doesn't get much better than seeing the leatherman/nothingman/betterman trio.

who is/was your favorite drummer? they were all awesome in their own respects, but i gotta say matt cameron is the best they've had so far. they all had their own unique styles and brought a lot to the table, but matt makes it look so effortless it's ridiculous.

what is the first pj boot you ever listened to? for me, the va beach show that opened the 00 tour. wasn't a real pj fan at the time but it piqued my interest in the band. in fact, i hate that boot, it's the most generic and bland setlist (if you can call it that) i've heard. but the boot that really blew the band up for me was 04-03-94. so many classics.

another great ed moment: the 93 show in ft. lauderdale (i believe) where after people were throwing shoes at the band: "when we leave, if we see any of you motherfuckers with bare feet, we're gonna kick your ass!"

also, they need to drop the wma daughter tag and just play the whole fucking song.

    my top five non-album ones:

    breath

    state of love and trust

    harvest moon

    baba o'reilly

just a girl (it's real obsure, not sure but it may have been a mother love bone cover)

as for the other topics, i'd start with seattle.  the man trio is awesome, can't disagree with that.  the randall's island shows from 1996 are not the first boot i ever listened to but they are amazing shows, i was 17 when they did those and just knew pearl jam from what was on the radio.

anyone going to any of the shows on the upcoming tour?
