Until we have confirmation from Coach that it *wasn't* about a butterfly McQueary saw in the park the weekend before, we have to assume that is a credible possibility. Anything less would be disrespectful to Paterno's gravity.

Mistaking "this gravity" for "his gravity" is a pretty bad mistake on your part.

"This gravity" refers to the seriousness of the issue, not about Paterno.

Guilty. Read it incorrectly. I apologize.

Do we know for sure McCreary didn't tell Paterno that Glenn Beck was responsible for the rape and murder of a woman around that same time?

I don't think that we do.

    Hmmm.

So anyway, going on what you actually said, no, I don't have to limit myself to the black-and-white.

The only black-and-white we have is the word of people who would look very, very bad if that black-and-white turned out to be less than the entire truth. And that black-and-white does not pass the smell test.

Or it could mean exactly what it says on pages 6 and 7 of the grand jury presentment in black and white.

"This is a tragedy. It is one of the great sorrows of my life. With the benefit of hindsight, I wish I had done more.”

Yep. This is about a butterfly a former player saw one day in his life, or 797 other things.

Especially if his dad went with him.

He told his dad what happened. I really doubt his dad would allow Joe to get only half of the story.

    I give up.

If you can still use "I really doubt" ... I give up.

I see they took out the creepy-looking bearded man in the header as well.
