Again - I'm not trying to make Paterno a special case. I would say you guys are doing that. If he deserves the media shitstorm that he got because he had heard allegations about Sandusky and did no more than pass them on to be investigated, then I'm waiting to see you move on to all the others. Instead, I've seen the very people condemning Paterno, make excuses for McQueary, his dad, and the prosecutors.

You've made fewer good points than YF, LongTimeListener, RickStain or Mr. Havercamp. Your opinion on whether I should give up isn't given a whole lot of credence on this thread.

Who the hell have you seen making excuses for these people?

The prosecutors who overheard the conversation in which Sandusky admitted it to a mother of a victim are especially disgusting.

As for McQueary, this is a man who once broke up a knife fight on campus. But when he saw this, he ran to his daddy and CYA'd for his career.

Just because I don't agree with jr/s doesn't mean he has to "give up" or whatever unless he just gets tired of it. That'd be silly.

When did SportsJournalists.com become a jury deliberation room? I thought this was an Internet message board. You know, where people say all kinds of crazy shit just to pass the time and entertain each other. Did I miss where it became a fact-based, black-white, notarized kind of place?

You didn't see the previous few pages where there was a lot of discussion about why prosecutor's couldn't go public? The McQueary sympathy was way back.

Well, as long as you're with the mob. If you fill in the holes differently, you get a lot of cheap shots.

Because this involves Joe Paterno and Penn State. They're THAT important.

That explains so much about your past 85 pages. :)

I'd like to see Tom Wolfe take a crack at it.

Any chance someone passes along some tickets to JoePa and he shows up in the stands on Saturday?
