    He won't resign.

They will have to fire him.

    Or shoot him.

Either option is acceptable to me right now.

If I'm on the Board of Trustees, I'm calling my fellow members right now. I'm demanding a conference call tonight and/or an emergency meeting in the morning.

The President, the AD, Paterno, and Schultz need to be cleaning out their desks by mid-afternoon.

Someone earlier mentioned Joe Posnanski's future biography on Paterno.

Paterno has the very, very convenient excuse that Sandusky was not on the coaching staff at the time of the allegations, and it's clear he will sit on top of that as long as he can. Typical head coach garbage.

    Thank you, Small Town Guy.

    Good paragraph by Posnanski.

CBS News led with this story tonight.

Said eight other children are alleged to have been abused by Sandusky and he had access to literally hundreds more. (Which sounds like the cops are hoping more people will come forward.)

The indictments capped a three-year investigation. I'd guess that to avoid tipping off Sandusky that something was going on, the cops probably told Paterno and others to keep things as normal as possible.
Which is kind of standard procedure.

I also read/heard (not from CBS) that after the alleged incident happened, Paterno banned children from the athletic facility.

Looks like it's the lead story on NBC News starting right now.

    It's what they teased first.

It was NBC's lead story on Saturday evening.

Paterno has to be gone. There is absolutely no reason to let him stay.

    So true.

I am not sure how I would react if I saw someone raping a young boy, but I hope my first reaction would be a very loud, "WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING!?" I damn sure would not worry about chain of command, my first call is to the police.

Much like the Patrick Denehy-Carlton Dotson situation, this is not an NCAA issue.

Baylor didn't get half of a death penalty because a player killed a teammate and a coach tried to cover it up. Baylor got have a death penalty because Dave Bliss was a cheating piece of shit and finally got caught.
