The fact McQueary continued to frequent Second Mile events is so devastatingly morally corrupt. He, in essence, supported Sandusky's efforts to continue the supply line of rape victims. After looking one such boy in the eye.

They'll need to keep at least some of the staff until the season ends just to run games and practices. But yes, they'll all be gone in the end.

Like I said before, they knew but just told him not to do it on campus.

Right. That's been well established. But why? Why would that be the decided course of action? It's so horrible and mystifying.

Because Uncle Jerry had the goods on others?

After reading some of DD's eloquent theories about McQueary's behavior, I started sympathizing with him a teeny, tiny, minuscule bit. I tried to imagine how he had been brainwashed not just from the moment he began playing college sports, but from a very young age as a child growing up in State College, when he was taught by his own father to worship men like Sandusky and Paterno. I felt bad for McQueary's wife and their baby daughter.

But to learn he continued supporting the Second Mile after seeing that horror in the shower? My god, I hope his own daughter has someone in her family who can teach her this is not how normal men act.

Yeah, that one did it for me on McQueary. Holy hell. The worst part of that ... The lawyers for #)*#@(*#@*#@ Sandusky, Curley and Schultz can point to that and try to discredit him. FUCKING HELL, how??

Amen. It's been a long, sickening week. I've lost any sympathy for anyone in the know. There were no excuses. None.

Ditto for me. I didn't know McQueary was involved in Second Mile stuff AFTER the shower incident.

After witnessing the shower incident, there is no more excuse to be involved in Second Mile activities in any way. There's a big difference in deciding not to call the cops -- and watching Unca Jerry waltz through the doors leading kids by the hand.

I keep thinking that too. It's the only logical explanation.

Of course, our mistake might be trying to apply logic to this entire mess.

"The goods on others" might be as simple as, shit, now that we've covered it up, Jerry knows we've covered it up, so we're stuck in this too. Once they buried it, they had to bury it forever.

I'm just trying so hard not to believe this.

It would require a monumental conspiracy for one.

And, what would he have on them? Recruiting violations, ans/or similar NCAA stuff, or more sinister things?

I can't believe the whole staff was a bunch of pedophiles.
