Odious. The whole thing is odious. Step down Paterno. Now.

It's the building at the center of campus. IIRC there are a few out-of-state trustees. They have a previously scheduled meeting on Friday, too, in State College, so maybe some folks already were in town.

"And please, for the love of Christ, please don't let this stop you from sending the checks. Ohh those checks! We love 'em and we need 'em! Checks for tickets, donations and apparel. Ohh those checks; we need 'em now more than ever."

That line about trusting "the Penn state name" fuc-king dispicable. Basically Joe, or his stupid-assed halfwit of a son, who is so braindead that he managed to lose an election in central Pennsylvania with the last name "Paterno," are basically begging for blind loyalty. Hey shithead, you had that for 40-plus years and it's led to this.

Curley, Schultz stepping down. Bulletin just moved.

There will be more than 100,000 people in attendance when Penn State plays Nebraska on Saturday. When Paterno enters with his team, how many among the 100,000+ will stand-up from their seat, and instead of applauding, literally turn their back on Paterno?

Will any fan in attendance (not wearing "Go Big Red") have the courage to hold aloft a sign which simply reads "SHAME" on Saturday? Or will the school instruct stadium security to seize and destroy anything that expresses anything other than blind allegiance to Saint JoPa?

That was a fast U-turn. Wonder how long Spanier's rope is.

Penn State already makes the KGB look like a beer league softball team so I see things being intensified Saturday. If that fanbase has any spine they start a "Joe must go" chant. I won't bet on it though. Seeing Paterno's statement tonight just completely set me off all over again. What a piece of half-assed garbage.

Call it just a hunch, and, by no means is this an excuse for it, but I have a feeling at some point Sandusky will come out and say that he was abused himself as a young boy by a coach. Pedophiles frequently were abused themselves.

Curley only stepping aside temporarily, not permanently.

Schultz gets to call it a retirement, so it sounds like he'll be able to collect his pension. Jesus, get him a gold watch too, while we're at it.
