    But that's you.

Where do you, or Dick, or anyone get the idea that they have the right to be the arbiter of what proper perspective is for others?

At the very least, this game should have been postponed to a later Saturday, as was done after 9/11.

Because Penn State showed what happens when it is permitted to define the "proper perspective" on its own.

Still doesn't mean you should be accepted as the arbiter of what's right or wrong.

With all of the deference paid to the program, I wouldn't be surprised if the arrest of Sandusky wasn't timed for an off week just to avoid too much disruption.

They did it on a bye week, when there wouldn't be a ton of press around.

That's kind of up to the recipient, no?

I know basic human decency when I see it.

And this grotesque, insensitive 106,000-sycophant spectacle is not it.

But what the fuck? Long live King Football.

Well, yeah, Dick ... chuckle ... they would be agreeing with you if they did accept it. And they would be disagreeing with you if they didn't.

I think that might have been the case, but I think it was probably a decent idea. You saw what happened the other night on campus. You want that on game day?

What I'm saying is that, no, you don't have to accept me as the arbiter of what is right and wrong here. But that's my opinion.

What game are you watching instead? I'm sure football is placed in a proper perspective everywhere else.

Riiight, so we can make Penn State's season even longer. That's a brilliant idea. ::)

You either play this week's game or forfeit it. But unnecessarily extending this circus an extra week into December is the last thing they need to be doing. A silly suggestion.
