History will not judge the decision to play today kindly.

I doubt you'll find anyone defending the behavior of those louts.

Great story about yet more shameful behavior. I hope this gets a lot of run because these people should be shamed nationally.

Not one person helped him. Not one. Don't even suggest this was just a few bad apples.

Thanks Jake - was just coming to post this and brag on Nathan's excellent work. A story that definitely should be read.

The most telling line of the Washington Times story is the part where he couldn't get any of the abusers to give their names. More cowards. The whole fucking school is full of them.

    Great work by Nathan Fenno.

After learning about McQueary's continued involvement with Second Mile, watching five minutes of the pre-game show, and then reading that disturbing piece by Fenno, I am convinced. The game should not have been played.

Agreed. The corrupt culture that looked the other way while children were being raped extends well beyond the football offices.

They should have played the game in an empty stadium. I understand the desire to let the players play, they aren't the criminals of the ones who covered it up for a decade, but it didn't need to be a 100,000-person Paterno pity party.

I wonder how many perverts were in the stands at So-Called Happy Valley?

Or how many rapists were in helmets?

You're welcome to feel that way.

But 106,000 people disagree with you.

And you should never think that you are the arbiter of how others should feel.

Who are you to say that?

There were 106,000 people at the game today. They looked happy.
