Just disgusted that the media has become judge and jury. Especially in the first 24 hours. Unrestrained pack journalism, and that should be discussed in depth at some point.

    You're still not being specific.

That's about as vague as possible. What do you mean by "judge and jury" and "unrestrained pack journalism?"

The first 24 hours were pretty muted.

It was only as more facts came out, and PSU acted like it was some small problem, that outrage grew.

The President stated his support for Curley & Schultz. We learned it wasn't some anonymous GA that witnessed the attack, it was a 28-year-old man, a former starting QB, and a current assistant coach.

I could go on and on.

    The outrage matched the facts.

Oh, and the outrage grew in conjunction with the number of enables who were exposed, and as the apologists rushed to their defense.

Someone, maybe Dick, mentioned this a couple pages ago ... but I think the "we're going to have a football press conference and Joe will only take questions about football" was a huge turning point. That was a real moment of, Geez, they just don't get how serious this is.

I would also add that the idea of Joe as the doddering old man who somehow didn't grasp the severity of the situation was eradicated when he dictated the terms of his retirement to the BOT. That press release was incredible.

One example: It took a week for the story to get to McQueary. They're just now starting to call him out. He and his father have a lot of explaining to do.

You're just being a fucking idiot if you think it took a week for the story to get to McQueary.
