Just following up on my Cato the censor comment earlier, in the style of the object of the comment.

So, should News of the World been shut down?

You cannot just shut down a football program. That is insane.

Do you think the people whose health care depends on cutting the grass, cleaning the stadium, answering the phones and selling the food had any idea what was going on?

What about the vendors who employ people just because they sell goods that are used at PSU football events? What will happen to those people if PSU football just goes away?

Do everything you can short of eliminating football, and making PSU the new Temple, but keep playing football.

You mean like the janitor who saw Sandusky in the showers with a kid?

Yes, one person represents a group of hundreds. Everyone else would just be collateral damage.

We don't really know who saw what yet. And may never know.

But Jerry Sandusky was driving around Central Pennsylvania with little kids for decades.

Do you really think no one else saw anything? Heard anything? Said anything?

Do the people that believe Paterno did enough still feel that way?

Go read the comments at the bottom of the NBC Philadelphia story and then you tell me.

I was referring to the people of this board.

Haven't seen any mea culpas yet so I'm going to vote yes. I still have devout Catholics in my family who play the "every organization has corruption" card anytime you ask them why they still support the church. Many of them will never admit that it's a religion to them, but it's a religion to them.
