Well said. Paterno really didn't have any "superiors" at Penn State. He de facto ruled the place.

Are you saying that spring practice being led by the first new coach at Penn State in nearly 50 years, one who replaced what is now a polarizing figure, isn't newsworthy?

I'm saying "Why worry about who got raped in which shower by whom? Or who covered it up and how? Football's back!"

Yeah, don't know where you're getting that from. Plenty of people are still concerned, er, worried about it.

Az, they had a candlelight vigil -- right after this all came out. Did you not see that? Was that not enough for you?

    Now, let's play some football!

I must have missed that while thumbing through my copy of "Every Possible High School and Junior High School and Pop Warner Football Recruit in the World 2011-2012" magazine. Those candles must have been very beautiful. I wonder who they were for?

    And the rebuttal.

In a statement to the Patriot-News, Corbett's press secretary, Kevin Harley, said:

"ESPN's report from the grassy knoll merely adds another chapter to the growing list of conspiracy theories surrounding the Sandusky case. It is a disappointment to read something so long, filled with so many errors, that offers so little by way of new or even real fact.

"The fact remains that Jerry Sandusky is charged with serious crimes of sexually abusing children and that the evidence against him is overwhelming."

None of which is disputed in the report.

Then maybe, just maybe, maaaaybe, Corbett should have agreed to have been interviewed for the story. I love when people deny requests for interviews, then bitch that the story was wrong when it came out.
