It really is the worst cult ever.

I've never been more convinced that Paterno was in on the action this whole time.

Most of us don’t see eye to eye, but I totally agree with this.

Grown adults who insist on believing that Santa Claus is real. We've shown them cookie crumbs and milk breath on their parents and they still believe. They've caught their parents putting gifts under the tree and they STILL believe.

I think I have said it before on this thread, but screw Joe Paterno. He helped usher in our current climate of throwing crumbs to the media covering the team like we were supposed to be so grateful that he took 10 minutes out of his week to say nothing.

And many in the media gratefully lapped it up because they might get one more crumb than the other guy.

Many in that Penn State media pool had PSU degrees and didn't want to do anything to get Mommy mad.

I hope that wasn't a lacrosse reference. If so, SCREW YOU! (just kidding, great job by Rutgers beating Hopkins not once, but twice this year... sigh.)

For the judge, not an attorney advocating a position, to cite this in his/her order means there's more than some allegation smoke there; its based on admissible, credible evidence.

PSU and Patern-syncophants need to own up to who/what they are worshiping and take stock, look in the mirror. You don't get to revel in the "Linebacker U" glory then say "oh but Sandusky hoodwinked us and its all on him."

That was the reason as a journalist I didn't like the revered Paterno even before he got all rapey.
