    Bingo--couldn't have said it any better. It absolves everyone from any responsibility at all for their actions--an excuse for anything.

    Perfect for the everyone gets a trophy world we live in. Everyone wins, and no one is truly accountable.

    Well, I'm aghast at your opinion, JC. A non-murdered pedophile victim at least has a chance to recover from the trauma and have a good life. A murder is the end of the line. I really hope Whitman working your chain is the main reason for your assertion

    You are actually equating sympathy for a cancer patient with feeling bad for a grown man who puts his penis in a boy's rectum? Someone who carefully plans to be around young boys so he can have sex with them?

    I agree with you there, JC. Where I don't agree with you is in your apparent insistence that we cannot pity the pedophile without, by definition, excusing/defending his actions.
