    1. Send out a better press release. 2. Not tell the media what questions they can ask. Someone mentioned it earlier. They could have told the media they would devote the first few minutes to game questions, then have Paterno say that he couldn't comment further for each question about the case. 3. Either cancel the press conference as soon as this all broke, or have it with the school president.

It's no longer in his hands how it's going to end.

And if he says one single word other than "I cannot comment on the situation," the chances of him actually being indicted rocket exponentially.

Has Saturday's game been taken off the board in Vegas? What a clusterfuck.

And what's Joe saying to those op-ed writers? "Fuck you! This is MY job. And I'll keep it as long as I damn well please! Do you know who the fuck I am? I'm JOE FUCKING PATERNO! I BUILT THIS SHITHOLE SCHOOL!"

If you're picking Penn State, give it fewer confidence points, at least

    Definitely.

And I appreciate the support. And, where we might diverge, the respect of my thoughts on the matter.

The end is no later than January 1 in Pasadena. Maybe December 3 in Indianapolis. Maybe November 26 in Madison. Maybe November 19 in Columbus. Maybe Saturday in what surely is Paterno's last home game. Or maybe today, whether he protests or not.
    Today works for me.

Not if he didn't do anything wrong.

Yeah it's still in his hands. Resign in disgrace over this? Or ride out the next few weeks and let it be known what you knew and did in this situation.
His career is over. But his role in this situation is not.

This is reminding me of my grandmother, God rest her soul, who as she got older and older into her 80s, would say exactly what was on her mind, and didn't give a damn what anyone thought about it.

Who knew Scott and Sandusky are both teabaggers?

I think there's a distinction here between a classified mental illness that is abnormal, and this kind of blood lust, which to me is human nature that most rational, civilized people may experience but should be capable of exploring more deeply.

Sounds to me like he wants to answer questions people are asking. How exactly by trying to make himself availible to press his is fingering op-ed writers?
