Obviously she's angry, but I'm not sure this quote portrays her in the best light.

Get your priorities straight. There's no pride in being true to your school when your school embarrassed itself and acted in a completely morally reprehensible way.

If you're a Penn State alum, you should be angry at your school, not parsing words to try to defend it.

And as someone who is Catholic, I know a little about institutions I'm a part of that have embarrassed themselves and acted in a morally reprehensible manner. You don't run to their defense, you call them out for their bullshit and demand that it never happen again.

    That Twitter feed is sad.

@Dick, I think he's just talking to the kids on his lawn. But now they're apparently moving it to his statue after cops threatened tickets, according to Baumbach's feed above.

Fixed. Children were raped. Adults either covered it up, or at the very least, shoved their heads so far into the sand that they you can probably find seashells in their shit, thus allowing it to continue.

I get the comparison you were trying to make, but it isn't even close.

Has it never happened again in the Catholic church?

I did not get married in a Catholic church as a protest against everything that happened.

I am both profoundly saddened by that fact as well as immensely proud.

If it has happened, you won't see me defending it or parsing words to try and defend it.

It would happen a lot less in the Catholic Church if they went after the pedos with flamethrowers and fed them straight to the cops as opposed to their usual Sgt. Schultz approach.

How so? She's not interested in spin or PR. This seems like a very emotional, honest, understandable response regarding a person who did nothing to stop her son from being raped.

    Joe Pa Joe Pa, do-ba-dee-doo,
I’ve got a perfect puzzle for you.
    Joe Pa Joe Pa, do-ba-dee-dee,
If you are wise you’ll listen to me.
What do you get when your team has been champs?
And have fans that love you more than their own gramps?
But a coach gets touchy with some of the boys?
He just couldn't shower without any toys?

    Don't be asking any questions.
    Oompa Loompa do-ba-dee-da,
Just keep your mouth shut you will go far.

You will live in happiness too,
    Like the Nittney Lions do-ba-dee-doo.
Just be glad Sandusky didn't diddle with you.

I think she speaks not just for herself but for how pissed off and angry everyone not wearing blue and white glasses is.

I'd agree with "sad" before I said this was "sickening."

Students support the coach. They believe in what he has done over 46 years in charge. I understand the sentiment, as current students always want to believe in ths coach.

This affects his legacy and will always be part of it, but it's like Sam Gilbert with John Wooden or the various criminals that helped Tom Osborne finally win national titles (not making an equivalent comparison, etc., yadda yadda): this will always be something that needs to be mentioned when speaking of Paterno's entire legacy.

Now, if they were out to support Sandusky . . . I would find that to be utterly sickening.
