If any of those 19 year olds had kids, they might not be so quick to defend JPa.
If I had found out one of my kids was there chanting and fist-pumping, he or she would be paying the tuition to continue going to Penn State.

Apparenly ESPN is reporting that the Board of Trustees are considering replacing Spanier with former Governor Tom Ridge and they're considering allow Joe to finish out the season. So, Spanier, who is not implicated, could very well lose his job before Joe, who is also not implicated.

    Well fucking done.

If that's the case, that's shameful.

Spanier should have been fired two days ago. Paterno should go in the next two days.

I just saw that on the ESPN crawl. What the fuck? What the fuck? Martians from Neptune could parachute down from the sky with the express purpose of impregnating Kimmy from Full House and making Uncle Joey their king, and they would still be more in touch with reality than the PSU board of trustees. This is so absurd.

So if Spanier goes and McQueary is on leave, that means that for everyone else involved in this mess, the only reasonable conclusions any reasonable person could draw are enough to cost that person his job without the much-ballyhooed "due process." And in the case of Joe Paterno, we are asked to hold out hope that the most far-fetched and unrealistic scenario -- that he knew nothing about the 1998 allegations and then received no specifics that would make him think anything was truly wrong in 2002 -- is the way this is going to play out so we should just hold off on doing anything about it.

I did not think people could be this stupid.

That video is what makes it absolutely necessary for him to go. It's all about him. The victims are a freaking afterthought. He's a sad, pathetic old man there. One whose ego no longer knows any bounds even as his age makes him seek comfort he doesn't deserve.

The fact he is STILL allowed to serve as some type of leader and example is inexcusable. They somehow allow this to get worse by the minute.

This also isn't doing much to dispel the "myth" that the culture up there is to protect the football team at all costs.

Elliott, does this remind you at all of the Maple Leaf Gardens scandal, where an employee (on the maintenance crew?) was sodomizing boys, and Leafs/MLG owner Harold Ballard knew about it, and did nothing?

It's amazing how many of those Penn State douchebag students are wearing caps.
