Do you think it's just a coincidence that they only link to the attack stories from school newspapers? Why do you think they didn't link to the CNN story that painted Triponey as the heroine who stood up to Paterno?

It couldn't be the agenda they are trying to push, could it?

Triponey often came off as heavy handed during her time there, but now fully knowing the constraints of what she was dealing with, one can see why.

All of which implies exactly what?

That she's not credible on the matter of Joe Paterno's handling of student discipline?

So lessee, the "woman who took on Joe Paterno" was hired by the Middle States Commission. My question is, to do what? If she's heading up the MSC's inquiry into PSU's accreditation, I think that would be ill-advised simply for appearances' sake. But if it's anything other than that, who gives a rat's rear end?

The point is that she had problems with a lot more than just Paterno. She had problems with the way students who were not football players were disciplined, i.e. she wanted be judge and jury in all cases. She also had problems with students voicing opinions against her or that she disagreed with. She went as far as to try to shut down the student radio station (specifically a show that often contained commentary on university issues), restructure student government and change the process students were disciplined so that she made all the decisions.

And it wasn't just at PSU that she did this. She also had a history of doing it at UConn.

Isn't it strange that she's the only one to publicly talk about having issues with the way Paterno operated? You think nobody else, in the whole university, for 50 years, ever ran into the Paterno she says existed and wanted to talk about it?

How many kids did she molest? How many child molesters did she cover for?

Is that your qualification for credibility and a lack of conflict of interest?

This list was first published in 2007, long before the CNN story. It says that pretty clearly at the top of the page.

Nah, just sounds like an attempt to shoot the messenger.

And upon second look, the CNN story is linked at the bottom, as are two stories from the WSJ.

You're a creative guy, Tom. There's a real depth to your derision, despite it's repetition. Well done.
