Unable to molest children anymore, Jerry is writing another book. Here's to hoping the title isn't as unfortunate as it was last time.

and to think, paterno could have stopped all this shit in its tracks the day he learned of the "horseplay" ... as if he didn't know beforehand. hold on, tho.

it was only a senior citizen lathering up on campus with 10-year-olds, wrestling them to the ground and grabbing their cocks and balls ... at least that's what administration admitted to knowing in open court ... no fucking big deal, right, grandfunkrailroad? just fucking "horseplay," right? i mean fuck, who hasn't taken a shower with a 10-year-old, squirted soap all over the kid, wrestled him to the ground and grabbed his dick and balls ... i mean that shit is normal, right? you know, fucking horseplay?

how many more excuses are you going to make for a pedophile and those who covered up his deeds today, grandfunk? maybe you can define a pedophile's guide to horseplay for us, cause i really don't think the rest of us get it.

maybe penn state can add a new course this semester: horseplay 101. dr. sandusky can teach the graduate-level courses online from prison.

You can believe me or not, but that's the honest truth. I live/work and went to school well west of PA.

GQ released some excerpts from the Posnanski book on Paterno. Here's one particular telling one ...

Interesting. No word on tears shed for the victims, breaking down in an emotional heap at the thought that he could have done more to keep Sandusky from raping boys through his children's charity. No outward concern that he could/should have done more, could/should have seen the signs (beyond being told pointblank by a witness). No wondering about the victims, where they are now and what can be done to find them and help them. No signs of anger that such a close friend and associate could do such unspeakable acts for such a long time, hurting so many people who had no chance to stand up for themselves.

Instead, it's about making his name "mean something" and how now that's gone. And I'm sure the thought of the $5 million going-away present from PSU came before thoughts of the Tickle Monster's victims, too.

This provides a good glimpse into why the remaining Paterno family members seem to be complete out-of-touch assholes who are more concerned with statues and vacated wins. They learned well from Papa Joe.

Even if it is, that doesn't mean you aren't a Penn State fan and apologist. You certainly come across like one on this thread.

Would you have called b.s. if it had been relayed that JoePa spent that time crying for the victims? I think I might have.

Are we really going to judge the whole book by a 500-word excerpt without context?

Apparently, Justin Brown has been receiving plenty of hate mail from PSU supporters for hooking up with the Sooners. Ironically he will get his degree from Penn State in December. Wonder if he attends graduation.

I find this part particularly telling:

"My name," he told Jay, "I have spent my whole life trying to make that name mean something. And now it's gone."

That's all he cared about during this whole ordeal. His name. He didn't care about those kids that got raped right under his nose. He tried to protect his name at the expense of kids getting raped.

I dunno. I don't think Paterno himself was a depraved monster, saying "ah who cares if Ole Jer wants to buttfuck kids," but he had to have had several moments when it hit him, "I should have thrown the motherfucker to the goddamn dogs the second I heard ANYTHING 'funny' about him."

But why he didn't realize this in 1998 (well, about 1978 is probably more accurate) is the real tragedy here.

If you are Joe Paterno, the first time you hear snickering jokes about "Jer and his little boyfriends," you can pass it off as a rumor.

After that, it falls to you to find out "WTF is going on here?" And break out the fucking flamethrower.
